SpiceJet-Indigo collision averted at Varanasi aerodrome

Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June thirteen (ANI): a significant mishap was averted at Varanasi’s Lal Bahadur Shastri aerodrome on Tuesday between a SpiceJet associated an IndiGo craft on the runway.
The IndiGo craft was carrying 178 passengers and was getting ready to start off for metropolis. The SpiceJet flight unwittingly crossed the runway holding purpose.
Noticing this, the traffic management alerted the IndiGo plane to abort start off.
Two pilots of the SpiceJet plane are grounded following the incident, confirmed associate airline voice.
The matter has been according to the board of directors General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for additional investigation.
