Congress’ Sowmya Reddy wins from Jayanagar body

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], June thirteen (ANI): Congress candidate Sowmya Reddy has won the Karnataka’s Jayanagar assembly body defeating Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate BN Prahlad.
Reddy won the polls by a margin of two,889 votes.
After this triumph, the Congress has secured eighty seats within the Karnataka Assembly.
Although Karnataka visited polls on might twelve, elections in Jayanagar body was deferred to June eleven, once the death of BJP candidate B.N. Vijayakumar, WHO was the sitting MLA from the seat. The party fielded his brother BN Prahlad from constant body.
Sowmya Reddy is that the girl of heavyweight and former state minister R. Ramalinga Reddy.
The BJP had emerged because the single largest party within the state assembly with 104 seats, whereas the JD(S) garnered thirty seven seats.
However, once days of high-political drama within the state, the Congress and therefore the JD(S) came along and managed to make the govt within the state in partnership.
