Telangana govt. bans plastic in civic offices

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], Flag Day (ANI): The Telangana government has schooled municipal bodies across the state to prevent usage of plastic.
Municipal Administration and concrete Development (MAUD) Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar, issued tips to discontinue the usage of single-use plastic things, like plastic and characid bottles, single-use straws, plastic/styrofoam tea cups/containers, plastic below fifty metric linear unit plastic or plastic coated things and the other styles of single use /banned plastic.
Kumar cited the instance of Municipal Administration and concrete Development Minister KT avatar Rao UN agency has stopped victimisation plastic bottles in his workplace and switched to victimisation steel tumblers.
“No workplace shall be found to be in use or possession of below 50-micron plastic luggage as mandated within the Municipal Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016,” the rules aforementioned.
“Furthermore, it’s mandated that each one offices follow the dual bin system and eliminate plastic waste strictly in compliance with Solid Waste Management Rules, 2000 and tips of Central Pollution control panel (CPCB) towards plastic disposal,” the letter states.
“The orders get force with immediate result,” it added.
